I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. I took on the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition today and images of great art are still flying through my mind.

Every summer since 1961, people have been flocking to the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition (TOAE) in search of great art purchased directly from the artist. On Thursday night I attended the opening of the summer exhibition hosted by Toronto’s Jewish cultural institution. What I expected was a collection of paintings by Jewish artists hung in a white cube-style gallery and an almost exclusively Jewish audience. What I got was an assortment of works from a diverse group of artists with no religious content held in Toronto’s landmark discount store, on display for everyone who enters (or even passes by) the building. Go...

If you haven't been able to check out any of the Luminato Festival in Toronto, it's time to make time. Here are two terrific public art pieces - and best of all, they're free!

Here's what the festival wrote about Encampment and Reply:

The Encampment
A Thomas+Guinevere Creation

A unique form of archaeology turns a historic site into sculpture on a grand scale, vividly evoking the War of 1812’...
