On Thursday night I attended the opening of the summer exhibition hosted by Toronto’s Jewish cultural institution. What I expected was a collection of paintings by Jewish artists hung in a white cube-style gallery and an almost exclusively Jewish audience. What I got was an assortment of works from a diverse group of artists with no religious content held in Toronto’s landmark discount store, on display for everyone who enters (or even passes by) the building. We are huge fans of kickstarter! If you don't already know what kickstarter is, it's an all-or-nothing funding platform for individuals, or groups to gain the funding they need for a particular project.  

there are 13 categories, in which the website is divided into: art, comics, dance, design, fashion, film & video, food, games, music, photography, publishing, technology, and theater. 

basically, its a site to help creative projects get the funding from all over the world....
