To coincide with the United Nations year of the tree, the Vancouver Biennale presents the worldwide launch of the Blue Tree Project by Australian painter and sculptor Konstantin Dimopoulos. This unique performance installation re-ignites discussions about global deforestation, encouraging a new level of environmental consciousness. The Biennale will unveil 3 distinctly unique installations in Port Moody, Richmond and West Vancouver. Another Biennale first!
"Through my work I am striving to address global issues and provide a visual platform to effect change. So many global issues seem larger than an individual's power of influence and I want to evoke in people the idea that we cal all contribute to change in a positive way."
