getting started

how do I create my profile?
click the create profile link in the top right-hand corner of the homepage, sign up and wait for your email with further instructions (make sure you check your junk mail just in case)

why is it important that i select my role?
our advanced search function allows visitors to search you by profile type so please pick the user role that best represents you and your organization.

what if I fall under multiple types of profiles?
are you an art school offering awards? an artist who operates a foundation? an auction house and a gallery? no problem - create a profile for each user type as this will only help you in the long run because you will appear in more search results. we'll link up your profiles.

what if my organization has multiple locations?
well aren't you popular/successful. create separate profiles for each location using different email addresses to set up the account. that way, visitors who search by city will find you in multiple locations and you can create events specific to each profile.

what is an art lover?
art lovers are people who are not artists and are not signing up on behalf of an organization but want to take advantage of our special functions like my calendar, my favourites and create events.

do i need to check the terms of use?
yes, because if you do not, you cannot create a profile and add content to the site.

will theartmarket.ca charge people to use the site?
no way, no how, not going to happen.

my confirmation email didn't arrive.
check your junk mail. be patient it may take a couple hours.

whats the minimum age required to create an account.
18 and over only please or consent from a guardian. sorry, it's a legal thing. please refer to our terms.
